Tough tall plants for west facing balcony?

    Hence why I went with Tiger Grass and not Bamboo. Very popular in SE Qld.

    It's a multi use plant. I like it because it's a tropical version of a hedge and you can shape it like one whilst keeping that tropical feel. Bamboo is good as well but I needed something that "fitted" my small tropical back yard.

    Tiger grass is cheaper than bamboo.

    For bamboo, check the water requirements especially if kept in pots.

    I was going to go for some bamboo, but I might look into this stuff.
