How about comic inspired movies! Do you think any of the recent ones have done the comics justice?

I will openly admit the movies led me to the comics and not vice versa,
But yes I'm a fan of the current MCU, I'm waiting to make my call on what DC does with this new thread of justice league movies.
But I loved the dark knight rises ones.

No, still haven't got around to that one yet. I have so many others on my list, I am now watching Shades of Blue with Jennifer Lopez and Ray Liotta.

Is GOT on netflix Australia? I had a quick look, and it didn't seem to be.

    I'm no particular order:

    Fight Club
    Forrest Gump
The Matrix (not a fan of the sequels)
    Terminator 2
    The Green Mile
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (Tim Burton's version - I'm aware that's an unpopular choice).
    Anything by Chris Nolan.

Just because I'm a bit of a home theatre nerd and the movie experience for me is just as much about spectacular , glorious surround sound ...

    Saving Private Ryan
    Master and Commander
    Avatar
    Casino Royale
    Planet Earth...1 and 2 ( doco I guess)

But Im also a fan of smart films like A Beautiful Mind ( most Ron Howard movies are quite good to be fair) and I really like The Kite Runner.

These 5 are my pick as they are, to me at least, genre defining:

    Enter the Dragon
Month Python's The Meaning of Life
    Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon
    Pulp Fiction
    Kill Bill

I lamented not including Star Wars....

You like war/action films it seems. Perfect for a home theatre with huge projector. Avatar would be amazing on huge screen especially in 3d.

Some of the Korean movies coming out are pretty good with good storyline, well thought out and good special effects. Can't stand Hollywood stuff anymore.

Have you seen the original? Better than the Hollywood remake...

I dont have a preference for war or action movies per se.... they just go BOOM and BANG better on a big screen with surround sound.

To be honest my favourite movie where I remove Home Theatre wow factor from the equation is
    Kite Runner
