I'm guessing your a JCVD fan. That's my style too. I watched Bloodsport so many times I learnt the whole script. Same with Kickboxer.

I also liked Gran Torino by Clint Eastwood. Showed Clint's ability to be flexible and do something different to his usual stuff.

I think you should create a thread Perthguy for that. Best movie quotes. There are heaps of good ones. I like :

    - you can't handle the truth --a few good men
-real? what is real? --the matrix
-you talkin to me?-- taxi driver
    - I've been rich and I've been poor. i take rich everytime ---wolf of wall street.
-Mrs Robinson, you're trying to seduce mw aren't you? ---the graduate.
-you speak Spanish wero! so do parrots! --blood in blood out.

I agree over the years there have been some very memorable and moving quotes:
    Yippee-ki-yay... - Die Hard
I'm an excellent driver. - Rain Man
All those moments will be lost in time... like tears in rain... Time to die. - Blade Runner
carpe diem, seize the day boys, make your lives extraordinary. - Dead Poets Society
The story is Utah - Fletch
You're right, you're right. I know you're right.- When Harry Met Sally
If it bleeds, we can kill it. - Predator

This is tough to narrow to 5 but my top 4 has remained constant for about 15 years now!

    1. The Usual Suspects.
    2. Braveheart
    3. Gladiator
    4. Fight Club
    5. Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels

Snatch, Training Day, Swordfish, The Godfather, Scarface, LA Confidential, Batman Begins, Shrek, The Hangover, Leon, Shawshank Redemption, LOTR trilogy, The Matrix, Se7en, The Green Mile, The Prestige, Wall-E, Toy Story, V for Vendetta, How to Train Your Dragon, Blood Diamond and Catch me if you Can are all right up there though!

    As for TV shows...

    1. Game of Thrones
    2. Archer
    3. Arrested Development
    4. Spartacus
    5. The Inbetweeners

Dexter was up there until the final few seasons, Rick and Morty will move to 3rd with a couple more seasons of comparable quality to the current one. Community, Parks and Rec, Rome, The Wire, Banshee, Coupling, Mad Men, Friday Night Lights, Entourage, Modern Family, Breaking Bad and Prison Break are all contenders also.

I'm probably missing a good dozen off both lists as well!

What I am taking away from this thread is that that the movies that tend to be on a top 5 list for guys are vastly different to the movies that would make the top 5 list for gals...

Is that on Netflix Terry or another source? Sounds interesting...would you say better than True Detective? Season 1 ?
