    Very consistent there, good job.
I find our timeline to be very similar to yours for age, PPOR's and upgrades, Sydney IP's first then Brisbane Ip's after that.
1st child is close too, but we stopped at 1....
And we too aren't looking for any more resi property.

Its amazing. How do people manage to keep buying and buying? Lower purchase price with higher yield is the only way I can think of that could be remotely possible...

Don't get sucked into believing the number of IP's is the be all and end all.

Wow, 12 IP's in the last 2 years!
    What type of IPAre they?
Especially after a long 12 year gap since the first 2 IP's.
How many more do you want?

Gockie...you have to decent yield...but it is also the be all and end all. You also need solid capital gains...to put down more deposits. I would rate this as the balanced approach. The quality of the asset is also important.

Having a good income and having an approach that reduces debt via structuring correctly with depreciation, offsets, and paying everything at the end of the month is also important.

The people on this site who are worth $20m plus are mostly buy and hold types. Stuff they bought for $60k ...now worth $400k...stuff like that....

Yep....less can be more...but it all depends on your strategy.

As I said...CG is very important....

Mostly $300K CF+ in capital cities with good depreciation.

Yep, the big break was spent building career, setting up PPOR and having family.

Another 4 properties would see me well positioned to achieve my longer term goals. Hoping to do this in the back half of the year.

Noice....agree 100%..almost fool proof...and if you diversify across capitals it also brings good gains.

    2012 Married
    2012 Child
    2014 IP2 (Regional VIC)
    2015 IP3 (Brisbane)

Could buy more if I wanted as I have a good cash position but happy with current pace.
Will see when I come back to Australia, which will help a bit as things are a bit less flexible when being a non-resident.

So all the respondents here are pretty young ...compared to.Just wait until you have a marriage/relationship or 2 breakup and you walk away with nothing and then start again. Happens to 50% of marriages/relationships so beware!

Finances aren't all people should be investing in.

The partner you choose to invest in is by far the most important choice. And the management and maintenance of that investment should always be a priority.
