Tiler/handyman SE Melbourne

My PM found several loose/broken floor tiles that need to be fixed. One tile in particular is causing problems as it is preventing the front door to close properly. So far, only one quote provided (apparently the manager is unable to find tradies that provide free quotes).

So, my two part question is:

1. The only quote that I have so far is asking for $1980 to do the following:

Remove broken tiles & glue
- Supply 12 tiles 600x600, lay tiles & re grout entire area
- Supply grout & glue
- Remove front door plane bottom edge & re fit door

It feels way to excessive, but I am not in Melbourne and I am not a tiler myself.

2. If you know someone who could do this job, please let me know. Property location - Noble Park.

hi @meme plecko, I don't have any recommendations for tiler but put up the job in serviceseeking/Hipages with photos and compare quotes. I got 1500 quote from PM handyman and got the work done for 385 by going via serviceseeking.

they are able to do stuff and it is guaranteed by credit card payment release. I put one for mowing and diposing grass for 2 houses this morning and already have offers to do the job

 

I recommend my tiler to you. He is pretty good and reliable. But not sure whether he serves Noble park or not. I got him to renovate my leaking bathroom including the tiling work. It is called Lee's bathroom renovations. His name is Lee and number is: 0422349137.
