VIC Thoughts on this house in Strathmore Victoria

This property was listed for 1.25m-1.35m and sold for 1.545m, which is nearly 200k above.

I went to the auction and got completely outbid. I understand the market is hot in VIC at the moment, but do you think that is a fair price it sold for? It's also in Strathmore, which I'm unsure whether it is an expensive suburb or not.

 

Strathmore is a highly desirable suburb in the West as it borders Essendon. Big blocks and big homes on 700sqm from the 40s and 50 some with striking views. Some of it is zoned for the local, well regarded secondary college.

Homes which are livable but dated often go for 1.5M plus. I'm not sure about townhouses. What do comparable sales look like?

You'll get a decent home in Pascoe Vale South for the price you're looking at. Make sure you buy in the Coonans Hill pocket or the West side of the motorway.
