    Hello All,

In 2007 we bought 6500 shares in Thompson Couplings at the price of 78 cents per share. We have had no return on these in the 11 years we have held them. My questions are:
How can I sell these - no response from the company since asking about this
Are they worth any more than the 78 cents we purchased them for and how can I find out what they are worth.
    Thanks in advance

Thank you twisted strategies. They have never been a listed company although information was that they hoped to float sometime this year.

So how do I go about selling these shares if they are not listed? Maybe I need to find myself a Stockbroker.

i suggest you need a 'full service ' broker ( not an on-line broker like Commsec or Bell Direct )
since you can't communicate with the management

but if you already have an on-line broker asking them wouldn't hurt ( Bell Direct might point you to Bell Potter an affiliate )

if the company has been sending you annual reports there should be a line somewhere about NTA ( Net Tangible Assets ) ( per share ) that would be a reasonable starting point for negotiating a sell price .

if it hasn't be sending you these regularly maybe you should send a polite request for assistance to ASIC ( they should get copies if they are publishing these items at all )

they will need to submit several years of reports before they are able to list on the Australian exchanges

Many thanks Twisted Strategies. That is what I thought we would need to do. Will look into this further.

    Hi Sue

I could be interested in buying them, but I think they are only worth about 8 cents each.

    Hi Sue

Here is a link to their most recent report.

The bottom line is that their liabilities exceed their assets.
