I just came across this interesting article on the SMH website...some of it is over my head (I'll have to have a good re-read of it)....but it provides some interesting food for thought... http://www.smh.com.au/business/mark...-new-gfc-is-in-the-works-20150901-gjcoge.html If you want to view it - hover on the link, then right click and View in Incognito mode
These articles annoy me. What ever is happening in the market, some journo will profile the appropriate bear or bull to fit the narrative...like who the hell is David Dredge? He is quoted as saying "He's a believer that markets move in long cycles" I mean who doesn't believe that markets move in cycles,
Yeah AFR is essentially a financial tabloid. (That's where this story originates) Great promo for hedgies who come out and loudly take any position knowing that someone will like it and result in inflows..... No warranty of course. I have trouble taking the industry seriously, heads they win, tails they win. Clipping the ticket on your cash whatever the conditions.
Worth watching this if you are interested in world economies. https://www.youtube.com/user/TheMoneyGPS/
@Nick Valsamis Seriously? That link shows the author has also written ebooks on Vaccines and Fluoride in water. No chance I am actually going to play the video.
nice one Radson...too funny. It's interesting how these types of articles are basically the guy talking his book...
You enter a position for a short term trade on a flip of a coin, but if you are correct and market goes your way, you can keep this position close to forever and ride the trend like in real estate. Buy and hold is the key.
...the Americans who bought expensive unaffordable mortgages that contributed to the GFC. They thought the real estate market will always go up, continually, even in the short term.
Those are just some 10 page pdf ebooks. Anyway that is not part of this but the videos posted are relevant. If you didn't judge the videos without watching, you would know that it's explaining current economic news and statistics. Sure if your an expert already don't watch them but for most people it's worthwhile.
And following watching that tripe, get a subscription to The Economist and make up your own mind. If you wish to learn that is.
