Well fair enough too. Just when I thought you had secummed to the @SatayKing vibe of “it’s all about me” alas not so:cool:. When I saw who the author was I also felt obligated to pass something but it wasn’t a comment:).

Such lack of restraint seems unwarrented. A personal sacrifice?

I have read some of RM's stuff in the distant past. While there were interesting points of view, they didn't gel with me. A lot of it appeared way too out there. Didn't understand it. Mind you I'm probably out of date with most concepts as I don't read much of the finance news or info now.

But does the fear mungering click bait work because tech companies are overvalued?

My opinion is Yes and No. Depends on the individual. Happens all the time.

"Get out to cash now, the market is crashing.

"Get out now as I predict the market will fall by 40% or whatever according to my reading of tea leaves/the hem line of women's skirts/ the moon is somewhere/ my pet monkey says so."

Lol, SatayKing in the small time I have spent researching I can completely understand what you are saying. So much unhelpful manipulation going on out there....long term it probably doesn't matter if there is a tech bubble anyway :D

Hmm, let us not be un-PC on PC, so short shorts aka "budgee smugglers" impact may also be a factor.

Nevertheless, here is an article verifying the place of skirts in assessing the stock market. Total load of......

What Skirt Lengths Tell You About The Stock Market

@KittyCat when the market is going up every one wants a piece of the action so more money goes in. That has an impact on prices. When it turns sour they want out. Reverse applies. Hence the adage Buy high, Sell low. Each individual has to decide for themselves where they sit in regard to that aspect.

I fully respect those who do have the knack of being able to both time the market and regularly make a profit in doing it. I can't and I know it. It is a difficult thing to acknowlege one's lack of ability and to acknowledge your own incompentance. You don't really admit it to others in public gatherings because probably few like to be considered a weak fool.

Once I have decided which is the most offensive, I'll know. Number 3 is really app(e)aling [sic].

Love the article! Never realised the significance of fashion in the financial world. I'm still not going to start wearing mini's even though I need the money.....

I'm very grateful for how much I've learnt from you and other members here. I'm now considering debt recycling (although still very suspicious of this scheme if using property loan), lics and index funds.

I'd not consider you a weak fool on the contrary you and so many other here have opened my eyes to lots of ideas. To me the silly ones are those who are sucked in by media headlines, sell out when frightened and don't do their own analysis.....

A more relaxed viewpoint on it. May not be a bad thing, given these types of inistitutions will probably be acting in the long term interests of unit holders.
