Are you fattening him up for any specific reason?

We're harvesting lotsa fat Ned Kelly passionfruit atm ... but did have to laugh ... the first 3 that fell were 100% completely and totally empty (not even a skerrick of pulp). Just as well I wasn't wanting those ones for the pav

Phil comes looking for his cheese most days but it varies and can be twice a day. He often lets out a call to let us know he’s arrived. At other times he flies up onto our deck and stands outside the screen door looking in for us.

He has a mate also which is often in the yard. Phil has at times taken a couple of bits of cheese over to her and does some sort of mating dance. She generally tells him it takes more than a couple of bits of cheese to impress her then wanders off.

A couple more photos I took on the IPad but poor quality:

On the pool fence. Usual ritual is demolish the cheese, sunbathe by the pool then head over to the birdbath for a drink:

Very cruel. We think of Phil like a pet. If the law allowed it the neighbours cat which kills birds in our yard would end up on a platter:mad:.

Oi! Be nice to the cat! It's not it's fault, it's the fault of it's crappy owner that doesn't keep it inside. Maybe you could have Kentucky Fried Neighbour instead.

But the neighbours won’t fit in the frying pan, so it has to be the cat:).

KFC? Give it time and there will be plenty of that laying around in various coastal towns. Not too sure if any spices will be available though. :p

    Naughty people feeding wildlife.

Given the drought the local wildlife is doing it tough so we’ve only started feeding birdlife in recent weeks including Phil.

Almost everything in my garden is dying from the drought :(
Need to get some tanks installed before redoing everything.

How is everyone else managing water restrictions?

Yes, it's tragic and heartbreaking. I've seen it though and it certainly is not a pleasant sight.

For those creatures which can flee, they do. However, when they return to their usual feeding grounds there is nothing left. So they try and migrate to other areas but those places are already occupied and/or the population has increased by first movers. And so it goes. Very, very hard times for wildlife.
