It appears that in a race between an untrustworthy candidate and an idiot, the smart money was on the idiot... at least its a common denominator most can relate to.

Upside is more price increases for larger cities with diverse populations. After Brexit, London property went up while regional and smaller markets went into slump.

Expect property prices in California and New York to rise at the expense of investor money drying up for smaller cities.

I spoke to a friend on the phone a while ago who was going to visit Adelaide on Saturday to find a couple of properties to diversify his Sydney portfolio. He's now thinking of sticking with Sydney. I think implication for Australian real estate is prolonged pain for already depressed markets which actually have lot of Trump/Brexit/One Nation supporters.

I don't think Australian property values would be affected.

Not in the near future anyway

I think ASX will have a similar tumble tomorrow morning. This is exactly what impacts the RE markets.

This was discussed in the last week or so by those who costed out the plans for both parties, and he cannot fund it.

It would push their debt right out to unsustainable levels for sure. He can talk all the rhetoric he likes, but without a solid plan it will not happen - America will not be "great again"
