    Off topic ….

We know what you think, can you post on one of your threads... .

this is the upside.... I don't want this to become a Trump bashing thread..... You have plenty of other threads on the go to enjoy this dialogue.

    Thanks

    MTR:)

Yawn..... find Lizzies threads please.... instead of derailing this thread.... its kind of boring same old same.

You don't like Trump, fine, but find another thread....don't ruin this for others....

    We deserve a break

Some more upside.... what has Trump achieve with regards to NK

This is what the left like to ignore.

Here’s What Trump Actually Achieved With North Korea - The Atlantic

The United States and North Korea are now talking to each other rather than threatening war.

U.S. concessions to North Korea so far are largely reversible.

Any North Korean denuclearization pledge is remarkable.

For the moment, some conditions for a realistic, halfway-decent nuclear deal with North Korea are in place.

Trump is experimenting with a promising politics-first approach to the North Korean nuclear crisis.

It’s possible this is the small start of something big.

Remains of US service men in Korea returned

Watched interview the other day, very moving

Why should you have a thread where you can keep on praising Trump ad nauseum without anybody being able to say anything against him?

If you say something about Trump, anybody else in the forum has the right to give their own view about Trump. Positive or negative. That's discussion. That's politics.

A world where only one political view is allowed becomes a totalitarian state.

The threads are off topic and add no value. If it adds no value to the discussion/topic its against the rules at least I believe so. I have had posts deleted by mods because they are off topic....and add no value to the discussion

Why would I have a problem with anyone disagreeing?? its a forum
However, not when its a complete rant (find a special room and have a good scream), but why ruin this thread, find another thread, start your own thread etc.....

FWIW - my view on posts that are "on topic" for this thread are:
    1. posts which discuss the upsides to Trump being president
    2. posts which specifically refute those posts
Anything else is off topic and should not be posted in this thread. That includes general discussions about Trump, or posts about the downsides to a Trump presidency - there are plenty of those already.

These are either false or stretches, certainly diplomatic relations have worsened under trump. The economic improvements were not done by trump in 4 months, they were a continuation of Obamas record. Trump tax cuts and spending will blow out the defecit it is widely forecast. And the environmental actions are not positive accomplishments.

    So far since Trump -

    *Record Stockmarket
    *3.7 million new jobs created
*Has not given any Uranium to Russia
*Has not given plane-loads of cash ($150B) to Terrorist regimes (Iran)
*Peace talks and ongoing discussions with NOKO - long term denuclearisation, world peace, and prosperity for the NOKO Citizens through better trade conditions and lifting of sanctions (subject to denuclearisation).
*Repatriated $7T of Company profits back into the USA through tax cuts programs.

Noone has ever given uranium to Russia, how is this an upside?

And the cash was Iran's to begin with, they sent it to the USA a long time ago to buy stuff and the US reneged on the deal but kept the money. It was returmed in cash because their banking system was stuffed by sanctions. The return was part of the functioning nuclear deal which trump has derailed.

Okay - sorry to rain on your (non) parade:

    - Stockmarket was already rocketing and has just continued on it's trajectory;
    - Employment rates were already rising rapidly and just continued on it's trajectory
    - Urranium was never given to Russia so nothing new
    - The money given "back" to Iran was Iran's money and covered by Wategos above
    - Pretty sure the peace talks with NK aren't going so well - considering they're still building their nuclear bomb ability
North Korea making bomb fuel despite denuclearization pledge: Pompeo
    - As for the tax cuts - try and find something more balanced and not written by an excruciatingly right website
Investors Business Daily - Media Bias/Fact Check
... hasn't benefited the little guy and appears to have made companies a little gungho with their extra cash.
Benefit of Trump tax cuts overshadowed by technology and misplaced...
    - Pity about the tariff debacle

As for Detroit's recovery - again - nothing to do with Trump if you read the facts. But, as usual, that won't stop him claiming it:

Detroit's historic bankruptcy and more contributed to city's revival
