    Sharing is caring!

Over the years I have been gathering and a list of all the websites I use for detailed suburb research (and in some cases individual property research).

In the name of sharing the love, I present to you, for your pleasure, input and criticism (if you see fit) my ULTIMATE LIST OF PROPERTY RESEARCH WEBSITES!

I have included hyperlinks, summary of what data can be taken from the source (not all data listed, just what I personally find useful) and I have bolded the key data outputs that I personally use from the site.

Most sources are Australia-wide, a couple are Perth-centric. There are other Perth only sources (planning etc) I have excluded from the list.

Please feel free to add to the list and/or share your thoughts on the sources listed.

    @theperthurbanist great list.

For those in NSW or Qld, there's also Google Earth with the 'globe' plug-in from six maps which provides sales data, title particulars, lot size, land value (from the VG), zoning etc.

Thanks for sharing - great list!

Also +1 for Landchecker (Home) similar to Google earth but also includes planning applications, all zones and overlays and links through to schedules for easy assessment.

    Don’t forget www.propertychat.com.au

    An endless resource of information.

You can even ask a smart question and get a smart answer.
Ask a dumb question and you’ll get an even smarter one.

Interesting - it that specific to one particular state? Sounds like a good resource. In WA Itramaps is the go-to website for planning information, but unfortunately it is a separate site/link for each local government (of which there are many!)

Only for Victoria at the moment but I imagine they'll be rolling it out nationally at some point

Great list! Quite a few I've never heard of before. I use http://www.auhouseprices.com for auction results, sale and rent prices but will definitely explore some of your suggestions.

Came across this site for measuring land size which is pretty handy(although not an exact science). Hope it is useful.

    cheers,

Nice one. I usually check on Intramaps (WA)/LGA mapping, but this is potential even quicker if you don’t have to go from one LGA’s map to another.

    Thanks for sharing.

Great list, you’ve pretty much got all the good ones in there.

Food for thought - adding in the “interactive zoning maps” from each major city under your infrastructure heading. They’re brilliant...
Also the Brisbane flooding map would be a good one to add too!

    Nice work

Absolutely. I’ve kept the above list ‘largely’ National , though I have a bunch of other state (WA) and LGA specific sources I use also - intramaps (interactive zoning maps) chief among them!
