    Grey & white paint.
    Grey carpet
Ceasar stone (even fake) style bench top (square edge)
New light switches and power points
    Vanity
    Toilet
    Tiles

    Reno complete.
Don't overcapitalise based on the location and target demographic of the property
Reno for sale vs Reno to rent out...
What seminar or course do you need to sign up to?

May be you are right Greyghost. I should save my 2.5k for something else, unless some tells me this is good valve. I am mostly interested in filtering where i should be looking for IP (location), which has reno potential few years down the line. Thought this course would clear that get me out of procrastination and start taking action.

$2.5k would go a long way in a light cosmetic reno. Depending on how dirty you want to get your own hands!

Youtube is your friend. Video how-to's on everyrhing known to man. For everything else, call in specialist tradie's. Get your 3 quotes for jobs and go from there.

Might I also add a newbie - Airtasker. Like an Airbnb except it is for jobs around the house including painters, tilers etc. Interesting new approach in sourcing jobs to be completed.

There is a lot more in the course than how to do a grey paint on reno. Including location research, planning, calculations, etc. what exactly do you want to get out of it?

Yes, I have done the course. I did it back then to get more confidence of buying the property myself (was always used BA). I think the course is comprehensive, but like any other, it's useless without actions.

Lack of confidence has been one of the reasons for no action. Did the course help you? do you recommend the course?

Is this the jane slack smith course?
Starting out i think a course would be a great start to get a "formal education" to get some understanding and direction. 2.5k is a bit pricey but depends on how long and what's involved.
I wouldn't simply rule it out because you can find it all on you tube. It's not always that simple. It's like saying you can learn a uni course yourself, you can buy experts put together the course.
Depends on the person and skills

Yep, once the cheque is received you will all get the "little known secret"
    $2.5k? What a joke.
    I mentioned half of it.
    Target demographic (research)
Look up some of the better quality houses in the region, what are the big $ renos doing, how can you get a similar product on a small budget..
    what doesn't work.
    Reno to sell or rent

As for planning, calculations doesn't that go without saying.

    Not trying to be difficult..

I'm not saying you're trying to be difficult. I think many of the material is covered by various post in PChat (not to mention the support here) - they are not "little known secrets", more like "known secrets all in one place ordered so it's easier to understand".
I notice that people I referred here, who are very very new to buying properties, have difficulties on actually knowing where to start and what to read, what's "right", etc. This was the main reason I took the course (plus the 100% money back guarantee  yes, tend to fall for this)

Value of $2.5K is different for everyone, so for some, the $2.5K will be a waste of money as they can put things together themselves from the information here. For others it provides confidence and worth way more than what they pay. Each to their own.

Feedback on the course would be more useful. People learn different ways and as long as the course isn't spruiking otp or some "super mentor subscriptions" etc then it could be a worthwhile avenue for someone starting out.

@raj_27 have you got a course break down on what's covered?

Not to detract from Jane's course which I have also done a long while ago ( I think it was another name at that time) but IMO Cherie Barber's course on renovation is the bomb.
