Back fences on two properties falling down. approached one neighbour who said 'Guy up the road is a fencer I will get a quote from him after christmas I'm a bit tight now.' Fine. Got info from council of landlord's address on the other one and sent registered letter. Have never heard a word from them. I know where they live and am tempted to put a letter in their box (rather than another registered letter) again requesting renewal of fences. Should I just go ahead and get quotes and put in their letterboxes? If I then dont hear from them what is the procedure to getting them to pay their share?

Follow the procedure in the Fencing Act in your state. There are slight differences state to state.
