The tenants down the road have done some painting.

    Saturday night.
This photo was around 11pm. They were running out of steam then and more drinking than painting was happening.
Brightened up that blank white wall.
The local council have a program where they match up people with walls with local artists, but I don't think this was part of that.

I like seeing art around the Redfern and Newtown areas... if it was in my own neighborhood it would be out of place, but the inner city area it suits it.
I call this one my favourite though, its on the way towards Sydney Uni from Redfern Station. Corner Lawson and Abercrombie Sts. I can always smile when I see it.

I think this was part of the program where local artists match themselves with walls.

I can't stand this sort of "art"

Defacing buildings with crappy ass spray paint.

It just encourages graffiti and looks like crap

Each to their own.. I can see why people think it is messy or an eyesore.. but I still love it.

Especially when they give concrete monstrosities (bridges/crossovers) a splash of colour. It's a friendly reminder that we're human and not robots in a sterile environment, when driving to work..

I love it too. If there wasn't a 'stigma' attached to it, I would get the external walls of my property graffiti'ed' ( by a good artist though)
