Apparently the tenant needs a new bathroom door

I dont want the agent to arrange it as i want to pick one out myself

I rang Doors Plus after seeing one online BUT the salesman on the phone said their policy is you MUST come into the store

I dont have a car so have to get a bus or train etc and waste a few hours when they could just come out to measure and qoute on the door I want

Anyone know any other door company in Sydney City or East.?

Try: Hire a hubby, hipages, air-flasker, any handyman from the yellow pages, German Backpackers R Us, Gumtree, Brain dead zombie chippies with great abs, local paper. Just get them to pick up the door - generally it won't be exclusive to the door company (paint grade hollow core door).

Is it odd that no one is asking why they need a replacement door? Why would a door break and require a replacement anyway?

If water from the shower is rotting the bottom of the bathroom door, you're going to have bigger problems down the track.

Not necessarily a major problem, can be caused by tenant stupidity eg by leaving wet towels on the floor / against the door & then trying to open / close the door. Dampness / and then the force rips the face from a hollow core door.
I had this situation, simple solution rather than replace the door & paint was to install a metal plate along the bottom of the inside of the door.

Dumbest safety sign ever this talk about doors reminds me of this story about instructions to hospital staff about how to open a door.
    simple things can be complicated.

The door and jamb are both likely to need replacement or a skilled tradie will re-rout the door hinges and door width and height and align the existing jambs. Then paint it. refit door hardware. An unpainted door will warp and fall apart. What appears a painted door is NOT when they arrive white. Its a micron thin laminate on MDF. It needs paint. There are specific instructions under the door about sealing the base too. An unpainted base edge will lead to a warped door and the door composition will fail. (80% of hollow internal doors is often fibre ie paper and crap MDF products which are like sponges). The rest is laminated scraps of timber.

Door plus make a LOT of money by charging to do all that. They are very expensive for what is a $20+ (cost) product. Bunnings sell it for $27.

I would lose the fixation on doors + and let the REA handyman at it

If they require 2 hands to open the doors, are they disabled friendly? Fire/Accessible doors need to be set at a closer pressure that anyone can open (I can't remember how many N force)

Doors Plus don't have a great reputation.

What do you need to pick about the replacement door? Can't you give the instruction to the agent or a handyman to do?

Arguably the handyman will buy one to match. Paint to match. Re-use door hardware.
    Problems easily solved.

Darlo, at 5.25AM this morning, when you posted this, an Uber or taxi could have taken you to Doors Plus, and you would have been first one through the door (no pun intended..) when they opened...
