One my mentors had a great saying. If you want to know what someone pours into their mental factory each day, have a look and see what kind of a library they have at home. Nowadays with the internet I guess it would also include reading/learning on line.

Not all successful people are book people though. I get what they meant, but just sayin' ... I've met some seriously clever people who build stuff. That's what they've been into since day one and that's all they do. School and books are a no no. Many rich learning experiences have nothing to do with reading books or online.

I think the message that people like Rohn are tryng to get across isn't necessarily reading books or other material. I think the message is- continually grow by learning. Whether that be by using your hands and building new things and improving your skills or reading something new and growing in that way. My interpretation of the 'library' is your knowledge and skillset. The more your learn and practice by putting into action, the more you will grow and become better at whatever it is that you do.

    Pretty much this .

Personally, my own belief is success rarely exceeds personal growth .

Rich: Don't worry Laura...those guys just laugh at your dreams because they have a low sell esteem. Don't worry about them, we can dream big together.
Laura: Oh Richie..do you really think I can do it.. really.. promise...?
Rich: Of course sweety. You can do whatever you put your mind to..David Schwartz told me so!

Read this quote in a Micheal Yardney book this morning
"Your thoughts lead to your feelings, your feelings lead to your actions and your action lead to your results "

I agree. We're all largely ruled by our emotional states. That's why AR (which people often mistake him for being a motivator which isn't what he's about) talks so much about understanding/controlling/managing/changing your states.
