Great book. Thought some might be interested.

I know for myself I always like to aim super high for each goal and I know I most likely won't achieve it. But I also know I will achieve more if I set a much higher goal than I would by setting a lower goal. One of the great quotes I like from the book is " how you use your thoughts to direct your intelligence is more important than how much intelligence you have". I know I'm not the smartest cat in the yard and yet I know I achieve a lot more than people who have a higher natural intelligence level than myself. Anyway great book, maybe check it out when you're at Dymocks next. @Taku Ekanayake you'd love it.

I can't remember who said it but one quote that I live by is (the wording may not be correct but you get the message):

"Aim for the stars. If you miss them and land on the moon, you have still gone alright."

I might need to have a look at that. I'd met my 2016 goals by February and had to set some more

Lol, no. That would get in the way of my leisure travel goals.

I'm just trying to finalise a commercial purchase, nothing amazing but good net yield and low vacancy risk. Then I need to work out goals for next year. I'm probably a bit self limiting in this but I like to see achievable steps leading to a big goal. A massive goal with no clue how I could realistically get there just wouldn't stick. If I get to $1m passive for instance, I might start aiming for $2m passive but not really before.

Do you mean beanie or beano? I've chatted with beano in the past and am looking at NZ commercial, if for no other reason than to avoid wasting money on stamp.

Did that by February. Nope, need to aim higher.

    Only kidding.

There's a fine line between thinking big and talking total BS (and I'm not referring to Taku). I've seen some people who follow these types of speakers get a bit carried away and start stretching the truth when referring to their own achievements. They lose credibility.
