    I was taking issue with @D.T. 's assertion the term 'bogan' is somehow negative.

    Ppl do mix up Devon Park and Davoren Park tho, so sometimes Ur Davoren reputation is directed at my Devon IP. So I know what u mean.

    As you might expect all Canberra suburbs have street names based on a theme (different for each suburb). For instance Reid uses aboriginal names while Fyshwick uses the names of Australian industrial towns and Latham uses the names of people in the legal profession.

    We were looking to buy in Carine, Perth, a few years back. Looking at properties for sale with the kids they were refusing to live in Wessex Street and Dickens Walk.

    Well it's certainly not something I'd aspire to become If going off the Oxford dictionary's definition.


    The Oxford English Dictionary has added "bogan" to its list of new words being added to the dictionary this month. The dictionary, which was first published in 1895, says bogan is a "depreciative term for an unfashionable, uncouth, or unsophisticated person, especially of low social status".
