The mystery behind Sydney's iconic green house solved - realestate.com.au

Anyone else familiar with this beauty and got a story?

I heard that the man had been divorced and lost his marbles and turned into a hardcore religious type, green being the colour of the chosen religion

The interior is pretty special too, which may link to his middle eastern heritage possibly

I thought that his missus had run off with a younger guy and he was green with envy.

We went to the open home last weekend.

$850k and unless you like incredibly ornate tiles floor to wall, gold trim and blue toilets it needs new bathrooms and a new kitchen. Terrible location too opposite the service station and basically on two main roads.

I've never seen it in real life but heard about it over the years. It'd be funny if neighbouring houses continued the theme, i.e. pink, blue, yellow etc.

The street could take it's cues from more exotic places like the Favelas of Rio or the towns of Iceland or Greenland.

It only seemed to be a small block, also there are no townhouses on Bennett Rd, only on the GWH and generally on the Oxley Park side

Maybe his Mrs ran off with a younger guy and he is now flush with the green from the savings.

Not sure why it's a green house, not even any solar panels or water tanks.

Driven past it a hundred times or more. Still laughed at it every time with its huge spiked fences and sliding driveway gate chained closed
