    I bought a property 9 years ago. My first ever investment for $211k. Seems like like pocket money now. Did you not do deals in the past? ;)

    I've learnt this too - the hard way. When we started investing many years ago I told a member of my family. They spread the word to numerous other family members. I rang an uncle last year to say hi after he had a heart attack. Early in the conversation and out of the blue he asked about our properties.

    I was taken aback and asked him why he would mention this after his heart attack. I rang to speak with him to see how he was and not discuss our stuff.

    My fault for initially saying anything to a relative many years ago......
