I ride past the Belmont rifle range in Brisbane, and the noise is disturbing although far more frequent with wider opening hours.

In any case, capital growth might be a long shot

Seriously, I've been in a situation where I was buying near a freeway. Very close. There had been some concern that maybe the noise would affect my ability to find a tenant.
So I did something simple but effective. I drove to the property at peak hour on a Friday afternoon. Parked a couple door away and listened.

You can also try this if you're concerned about noise. Research a couple quads you like, obviously make sure there is a shoot on at that time. Sit in your car and listen. May sound like a silly thing to do. But it's part of DD in an area near a shooting range. If you can hear shooting, go back to the map and pull back a couple streets. Try again. If you can still hear it...then you have to decide if you can deal with it or not.

Depends on your target price of course. If it's noisy I'd be aiming low price wise.

Don't jump the gun till you've done your research or the opportunity could go whistling past you.

I've been keeping my powder dry up until now but I'll try a shot in the dark and try to hit my mark.
