Anyone else watching? I only do the reveals online after the event, 'cause I can't be fagged with all the drama.

Not to sure about the brushed brass fad - suspect it will date like the copper (everyone was doing on the show) two years back - and am always stunned at how much they spend .. but am enjoying the finished products and makes me want to re-do my own - recently completed - bathrooms!

How do you only see the reveals please? I’ve only just started getting into it. The drama’s are boring! And my husband hates the host so I have to put up with his bitching too!!

I love the drama because it is a change from the drama in my own life. ;)

Those not wanting drama can just watch the Sunday room judging.

    Great, thanks!

Yeah I guess I sympathise with hubby as that’s his life at times, dealing with drama and demands in the building industry when he runs jobs. He usually comes home half way through the episode so not much fun for him.

    Glad you started this thread.

Love watching it all. Also enjoy watching one of the high profile regulars on the block who is my cousin.

I think Ronnie and Georgia will win the show. Ronnie has a great work ethic.

I think Mark and Mitch probably had the better bathroom but I also likes R & Js.

Without a doubt the twin guys bathroom was a shocker. Absolutely yuk imo.

I love the blue tiles in the little ensuite (lose the nib wall) ... was not a fan of the terracotta tiles in the bathroom with no loo at all (was plenty of room) ... Mitch and Michaels room was great but would gone something other than salmon (so 80s) ... wtf were the twins thinking with a Venetian plastered ceiling and wall tiles only halfway up? ... Ronnie and Georgie's was nice but don't like a door that opens onto a loo

But well done to all .... and makes me want to rip my grey tiles out and start again!

Me too, but I haven't done it yet, so don't tell me too much.

Haven't seen it yet, but if it matches their attitudes, it won't be nice.

    I agree.

Enjoy. And there's Venetian plaster on the ceiling. the grey is overpowering and just yuk.

Hold on.....weren't they the ones who needed to change their garage to a single so they could get more room, and then they go and do a bathroom the size of a bedroom?

The real winners are the underpaid, overworked tradies who fix all the crap up after the cameras are gone. Every year the story is the same, Scott is a problem, subbies are screwed and the contestants walk away with the $$.

Nope, a pointless show (for me) as I can’t replicate any of it since it’s outside my budget.
I prefer Selling Houses Australia instead. More emphasis on the renovations, rather than the drama.

That's why I only watch reveals, to see what they've done rather than how ... if I see something I like, then I work out how it can be done for NOT $30,000

Selling houses Australia was okay, but some of the dodgy "cover up" cosmetic work really annoys me

I used to not be overly concerned about the Block but the last few years I have really gotten into it and with Keith and Dan inspecting EVERYTHING to make sure it done properly and making people rip it up and do it again if it's wrong. It's better than it used to be, also giving the judges a list of defects is good. In previous series people could put lipstick on a pig and the judges would score it high but it was still bodged together and not meeting code.

    I LOVE Selling Houses Australia.

Interesting tidbit of information, Andrew Winter moved into a house about 800 metres from me :). Did a full KDR, it's beautiful :). He is about 15 - 20 seconds walk to the beach :).

Omg anyone watching the block cheating scandal??

    Tanya and Veto...un-be-leavable.

Tanya is a straight up sociopath. Lying though her teeth.

The boys need to be penalised heavily.

And Tanya and Veto need to be disqualified.

Tanya's whole performance and BS stories is not fooling anyone . What an embarrassment to her family and friends being exposed to the whole of Australia.

    Disqualify them!

I think the boys need to be disqualified. Every step of the way, they're cheating to some extent. Getting tradies to paint, staying in a motel, when everyone else had to deal with the rain, getting drunk onsite, having the fiance help with styling. Not on! Play fair!

What about Tanya and Veto? They definitely need to be disqualified .
