What isn't happening on the Block this year?

What do you want to see?

    What's nifty?

    What's naff?

Penthouses don't have bidets - maybe a bit old school but IMHO a necessity in an upmarket fitout.

Home automation - how far should it go?

Finishes - what are we expecting? Carerra marble vs granite?

Quality issues (are they going to be any better than previous attempts)?

I just watch the reveal episodes and even those are too long. Nothing has blown me away so far. I did like some of the tiles from bathroom week, oh, and the wall of granite in the bathroom was cool.

Interested in others' thoughts: is terrazo a yes or a no?

Is the marble look timeless or on the way out?

It reminds me of the stall dividers in old public toilet blocks.

Marble is pretty done now, I reckon. It's timeless, yes, but also everywhere. Once it's in Kmart, it's not a thing anymore for anyone trying to be forward thinking.

The producers are really grooming these contestants this year! "Guiding" them to style their properties the same.
Is that a tactic to ensure they all hot the target style for luxurious high end properties

Started with the lower block people winning the consult with the judges and steered them one direction. Then the following night the challenge had them all steered in the same styling direction. Now all the rooms are headed for the lux fluffy velvet style.
they weren't really hising it either. And if was the guys that "won" the 1 on 1 chat i would be ****** as all conteatsnts got the same info the next day

The $75k bathroom was ugly and did not look like it had $75k thrown at it. Dark tiles on 3 walls made it dark and gloomy. It was the worst bathroom and deserved to come last

Can we get a block that dosent prey on drama? Personally I cannot stomach more than 5 mins. More like backyard blitz ...i know not perfect but at least is was somewhat practical.
