    Saw it last night

Anyone seen it??? Fanatasic film. I went in thinking it was a comedy thriller

And admittedly the us market is very different to aus market

It got me a little scared of how easily we are fooled into following the herd. Even me. The poster boy of not following the herd

    Boy what an eye opener

    First world problems.

There are now three separate threads on the Big Short movie. You had the agony of having to choose which thread to respond to.

Dragged Hubby to it on Friday night and we both really enjoyed it. Such dodgy practices & the banks didn't learn their lesson.

It came up in conversation the next day when we met a young couple from the Northern Beachs ( of Sydney) They said when they bought their PPOR around 6 months ago, their mortgage broker (from a large chain) told them 90% of the loans he was writing for PPOR's for young familes were on IO as they expected that the (eventual) inheritance will sort things out.

Really? What happens when rates rise, they can't refinance, their parents are healthy?!!

Funny. I find it immensely predictable and have made a small fortune shorting stocks - and ONLY shorting stocks. Horses for courses, huh?

Just saw it last night, need to watch it again. Good movie. Didn't sleep well last night, just thought the banks big bosses continued to have their fat paychecks, bonuses and end of year parties.

Also, about the landlord who used his dog for his mortgage? o_O
