    The number of times I've been recommended to go live with the parents rent free to save money as advice... If my parents didn't live on the other side of the country and there was work there for me I'd consider it! (Good on him though for making the most of his position and equity)

    I don't want to name any names, but there are people on here the same age with more properties so they should be congratulated as well. Not trying to take away from Jeremy's achievements of course.

    I'm interested in the profile of investors like Jeremy and others who start when young, as I'm thinking about my children's need to be financially savvy. Seems like these early achievers:
    • Work to save in the teen years
    • Tend to go for cashflow-neutral or -positive properties and are willing to shop far and wide
    • Benefit from family assistance, e.g. living rent-free; family loan
    • Are driven to invest -- obvious but I do think it sets them apart from peers
    What other characteristics might they have?

    Do you think 3 months rent to cover his entire portfolio is enough?

    Congrats to what he's achieved but I still think it's a puff piece for something else he is offering.

    Looks like he is off to a good start, one property which has almost doubled in value probably provides the equity and the further purchases must have been high yielding strong cash flow cheapies. Thats most likely the only way he could buy that many from nothing in a couple of years.

    To his credit he does seem to have picked good areas and has diversified interstate. It's certainly a lot better than an article a few months ago about the 24 year old girl on 50k who had amassed 2.5m worth of units throughout Sydney.

    I don't think that house in St Andrews will be worth $600K for much longer.

    True. Not really a problem for him though as he's already extracted the equity.

    We've all treated these type of articles with a healthy dose of skepticism in the past, but I don't think we're giving him enough credit, he still had to go out and do what he did.

    At 25, he's well on his way. Kudos.

    Don't be a hater, unless the achievements are a fabrication of lies.

    Sincere kudos to him.

    If his story were posted on here, we would be singing his praises.

    @Mumbai, why not share yours?
