    When did the clocks change?
I've sailed through 3 timezones in the last 3 days, number four tonight and flying through number 5 tomorrow. I'm not even sure what day it is at the moment

I' ve been through two time zones and three dimensions.

As soon as I finish this Mars bar I switch that show on.

I haven't seen it but don't need to. The effects of refined anything are devastating, humans think they can tamper with nature and isolate certain compounds from whole food but what they end up doing is turning food into non food that triggers off a non specific immune response and the resulting inflammation is responsible for so many of the diseases we now call "common"

Think isolating protein and selling it in pownderd form is any better than isolating sucrose from sugar cane? Think again!!! It's only a matter of time before people realise that proteins, carbohydrates and fats are just natural components of food, not one is better than the other but they are all extremely bad when you tamper with food and isolate them.

Don't even get me started on isolated vitamins ..... grrrr.

Just finished watching the show. Excellent doco.

I've recently cut soft drink and processed foods out of my diet (for health reasons) and dropped 6kg (+ 1 hour gym per week) over a course of 7 weeks.

Couldn't understand how I lost that weight with bugger all exercise, but after watching that doco it all makes sense.

On another note I recently ate a foot long sub and still felt hungry afterwards... thought that was rather odd. In comparison I usually eat a sandwich with some chicken from home. Guess subway isn't as healthy as it is made to sound.

Linus Pauling did too for years, and his cohort scoffed at him............. typically they died much earlier : )

Ascorbic acid in and of itself is good - it prevents scurvy, its water soluble and hard to overdose......... and yes, I heard there has been some recent diagnosis o scurcy in the western world.

Better obviously to get that Vit C in food or food concentrate with all the other "good" stuff.

good on you for stepping up and being a part of your own solution to the problem you probably created- not many are willing.

Subway - they do a decent salad bowl.

better in the US where they do a chopped salad, but u can remove all the carb from you subway meal even in Oz

Subway. Nasty stuff. The bread is very refined and tastes sweet to me. The health claims a pure marketing and nothing else. I can't eat subway any more after getting food poisoning from a subway sandwich on a 360 km bike ride. I never ate it again and never will. :(

Very true, it was a problem I created. Years of maccas + pizza eating after working late. Thought I was doing good by working hard - kinda missed the point about looking after my heath.

Willingness came at a cost though, gallbladder attacks, high cholesterol, high sugar levels, high in other readings that should be low - one of the few times when being above average is a bad thing :(

Mine was high blood pressure. It was so high my doctor wanted to put me on medication. It only took a couple of months of a low refined sugar diet to bring my blood pressure back into the normal range. What took me by surprise was the volume of food I had to consume to replace the calories from refined sugar. I was literally sick of eating by the end of each day until I got used to it.
