    Yeah base model.

With ACT government incentives it cost me approx $62k drive away. After recent price rise of $4k am not complaining about the price I paid.

    Cheers

Yes, except I have got black seats

Simplistic interior is not for everyone but I like it. I don't miss tactile button touches because I can literally talk to the car and tell it to do whatever I want.

Checkout Tesla Voice commands - here

Best part is software on the car keeps getting better with over the air updates happening all the time.

    Cheers,
    Oracle.

Common @Sackie. Model 3 performance is just one average deal away for you. Probably one afternoon worth of effort :D

How longs the wait on a 3 now? Last I checked its like a year. I know very little about cars, but my 2c below.

I drive one for about a year now, its fun and nippy, and the tech is great. Love its connectivity to all my devices so simply too. Seems to be getting to know. But its like made out of plastic. I sometimes think if my 2 year old leans on it, it'll dent. Perhaps its built properly, but it feels like its made out of lego. Charging is fine, haven't had any issues with electric cars. Prefer it now so I don't have to be at petrol stations and we don't drive all that much in terms of long distances.

My other car is built properly and much bigger SUV so perhaps its a comparison thing. Downside is it does feel like a warp back in time though swapping between a Tesla and a newish SUV (2019). It also doesn't connect properly and the tech is a bit hopeless. All things I value.

Overall, would happily buy it again at this price point, from memory options weren't that great in the electric car market - it IMO is the best value car in the market for that price point. But its not flawless. In fact, its a bit hopeless. I imagine competitors will blow Tesla's 3 away soon enough, if not already. I cant imagine Audi selling something like this - their product always seems to have a minimum standard. The Tesla brand is a tech brand and that suits me. As a car manufacturer, its like making a Nissan (or a go kart!).

Oh... that may help me make a final decision and get the Stinger Have you happened to drive one by any chance? I wonder what people that have driven Tesla 3 and Stinger GT would think..

    No, sorry I haven't.

They seem like quite different products though - one is a Kia, the other a Tesla (different markets?), one is electric the other isn't, one is ultra modern on the inside the other is pretty standard new car.

I'd definitely pick the Tesla over the Stinger (based on my 15 seconds of research though!), especially if they were remotely similar in price. I mentioned some negative points about Tesla's as just an objective judger of the car, I'm not a fanboy, but overall its decent value if you can get over the plasticy feeling of the exterior. Stinger seems more like a sports car on face value. With all the information on hand now, I'd definitely buy it again (I much prefer tech than care of exterior material quality).

Do let us know your experience. I haven't test driven one. Just the long range and base rear wheel drive.

    Cheers,

That's amazing After chatting to you guys and reviewing a few videos, I decided not to buy a car for now. I'll invest instead and in a couple of years, when there are more EV options (and hopefully cheaper ones), buy an EV. Otherwise, I feel like I buy an ICE now, it will look like a dinosaur very soon. And I can't justify spending 70k on Tesla base model 3. Way too expensive for my tolerance.
