Terrorist Attack in Brussels

When they get their hands on weapons that can take out 15-20 thousand people one shot, -then the world will really be in panic mode. It'll be too late by then because they will be so well entrenched, prepared and funded that to stop them will require some serious hardcore action taken. Better fight the smaller war now or be prepared to face the wrath of what is to come and ramifications from that.

I think you downplay the danger at hand. It's not a matter of Island vs. the West...it's far more nuanced than that. Fact is though that these men and their supporters wish to see the world burn and bring to on the apocalypse.

 

Policia with machine guns on the metro this morning in Barcelona, haven't seen that before. Some people avoid the metro here these days given the ongoing threat, & that Isis stated Spain is high priority to return to Islamic territory within 5 years (Iberian peninsula was muslim for 900 years until 17th century).

ISIS et al do not view the Muslims killed as Muslim. They simply rely on takfir renouncing them as kafir, and if by chance they kill a fellow true believer, well they died a martyr and martyrs are good for the cause, and only require atonement (blood money will do).

 

President Obama gave a very candid interview to a major Western news organization in which he was self-critical and blamed his allies for a lot of the problems. President Obama even admitted that Ukraine is more important to Russia than to the US. Talk about easing Russia's sanctions could also be heard in the West...

In the meanwhile, ISIS attacks intensified. France was hit; The US was hit; Turkey was hit. Now, Belgium is hit. There may be other targets. The attacks are ultimately designed to convince 'reluctant' Americans and Europeans to send troops into eastern Syria. As a result of these attacks, all the talk in Western power centers is not about Bashar Assad or Russia but about securing ISIS occupied parts of Syria and eventually partitioning the country along ethnic/religious lines.

 

There is that probability with all the fanfare of experts out there that may happen,just say the target would be "Israel",where only a few would know the statistics on thermonuclear-megaton
nuclear weapons capability they have developed from 1967 up too yesterday ,it would be a serious mistake to take on Israel or any country in the western block they would turn the entire area into a level car park within 12 minutes..

 

I agree. And I don't think any sane person ever wants to see that eventuate. But its very possible. Just look at what happened when the Japanese refused to surrender in ww2.

With regards to Israel, the reason you wont see this kind of massive terrorist attack in Israel is because the terrorists leaders know that Israel would respond with such force and absolute resolve that it would be counter productive for ISIS in the long run.
