Termite issue and leaking found after b&p inspection

    The chemical dusting aims to kill the nest which, as you say, can be some distance from the house. Chemical dusting means you don't have to find the termite nest (it can be anywhere in the land outside the house).

    The activity inside the house is usually the termite 'workings' not the nest.

    There may be many more (separate) termite nests in the vicinity, especially if you have trees in the area. You might kill one nest and then termites from another nest some distance from the house invade...

    Call us idiots, but we bought this sort of house without inspection (don't want to know - la la la la!)
    My thinking - when it falls down, time to develop.
