Tenant asks if they can use Bond as rent for the last few weeks...

    No chance, same for moving out on the last day, I always say the place needs to be ready to be rented out the very next day.

    It's made very clear in my lease agreements etc. that bond is not to be used as rent. Most of the time the tenant doesn't ask though, they just stop paying because they know you can't really do much...

    Guess who doesn't get the glowing reference? It may only be a few weeks, but it puts me in difficult position and sometimes they won't even sign the bond form, so I have to go to VCAT!
