    Occasionally I hear from old guys talking about iconic farming properties in that post war period and how some of them were crippled by these old taxes . It obviously left a mark on them .

    What chance that estate duties will be brought back in ?

    Possible. There is still a defacto death duty on super benefits. Super can be taxed at up to 30% in some situations.
