    If she's smart she better hurry up and get pregnant. What happens next won't matter as she will be set.

    Makes my wedding look cheap and nasty.

    Fair enough he wanted to spend up big on his wedding day and why not I say if you can afford it but there is a right way and a wrong way to go about it. He used his deputy mayor card in the wrong way.

    His dad is supposedly worth $200m and he just got out of jail for fraud.

    They are definitely [of questionable reputation] because the letters that the residents received saying that it will be a clear way in that street on the day and any cars will be towed, a few of the residents in that street rang the number and sure enough it was queen street smash repairs number who are [of questionable reputation] themselves. This joker who had the wedding is best mates with the owner of queen street.

    Go back to their legal adviser and ask why did they sign a contract that could allow for this I would presume.

    A reinforcement to the idea that OTPs should be bought with care and the risks they present.

    @spludgey some more interesting facts:

    1. The Mehajer’s are one of the major landowning families in the Auburn.

    2. Salim Mehajer was reprimanded for failing to publicly disclose the full scale of his extensive property and business interests last year. A tribunal found that he had lodged pecuniary disclosure returns “that he knew or ought reasonably to have known to be false or misleading’’. The Supreme Court suspended his council salary for three months.

    3. He ran an unsuccessful tilt for Parliament in 2011 and missed the deadline to declare electoral spending and political donations. This brought him onto the radar of the Election Funding Authority but it did not make any finding against him nor take any action.

    Wasn't there an article in yesterday's rag that said he's just reconfigured a block of otp units to increase the number of units/floor (cutting units from 150m2 down to 90m2) & raking in $$$$. Same FSR.

    That's why S96 is so good. Get the building envelope approved with 32 units, S96 for 44 by reconfiguring each floor. No arguments. ..

    Just read in the local paper that he also stopped kids' footy games on the weekend. His helicopters (there was only supposed to be one) showed up an hour later than planned and his entourage blocked the carpark.

    On a tangent, I was having coffee at my local when I overheard a bunch of guys of same ethnicity discussing development and the they don't notify neighbours anymore, they just take them to land and environment court to fight anything. They also mentioned a particular counsellor in our electorate that gets anything through that they want.
