    Hi,

Just thought I'll share some of the good eating places around Sydney.

    - Maisy's cafe 24/7- Neutral Bay (24/7 and pretty good food)
    - Little Rock Cafe- Baulkham Hills (bloody good coffee)
    - Braza- Darling Harbour (Brazilian BBQ and it's all you can eat!)
    - Pho Ann- Bankstown (Pho but reckon they've gone backwards in their standards and $16.5 for pho!)
    - Dooley's Club- Lidcombe (Pretty good club food)
    - Vincenzo's Pizzeria- Wentworthville/ Merrylands (Great pizzas and think it's still owned by the same family for the last 40 years I think)
    - Spanish Tabas- Glebe (Very good food and the set menu allows you to drink all the sangria for a fixed time- try to beat 3 jugs)
    - Encasa- Sydney CBD (Spanish food, but need to book ahead)
    - El Jannah and Aba's Pastries- Granville (Chicken store and sweet store, which I've placed together due to it being walking distance)
    - Spice Alley- Chippendale (Master Chef's dessert place)
    - Tenkomori Sydney- Near Town Hall CBD (Can be a hit and miss)
    - China town food courts- Sydney CBD (Cheap and real nice)
    - KFC Town Hall- CBD (Yes, that's right! Have to admit it's probably one of the best branch in Sydney and think they still serve hot n spicy in the off season)
    - Wagyu House Buffett- Parramatta Road (Pretty smokey and expect to smell like meat at the end)
    - Chiswick- Woollahra (fine dinning and get the lamb dish)
    - Fully Tablooly- new Greystanes (kebabs and skewers)

My personal recommendations for anything to eat in Barangaroo, are none, because feel it's for pretentious people who want to look rich and pay big for mediocre food.

Holy Basil - Canley Heights (probably best thai food you'll find)
Green peppercorn - Fairfield (owned by brother of Holy Basil - awesome)
Enzo's Cucina - Chipping Norton (great Italian food)
Holy Heffa - Edensor Park (awesome burgers from a food truck)

    Tommys Kebab, Smithfield.

I'd take a bullet for one of their kebabs with houmous.

    Debatable.
Food is good (not cheap) but tweaked to suit western tastebuds - think of Thai Pothong in Newtown.
If you want authentic head to Fairfield near the train station on the RSL side. The places here also do laos food.

You are referring to Pho An in bankstown.
Pho Ann is located in Cabramatta off John St.
The bankstown one is probably the best pho I've tasted worldwide.
Funny story - the guy who owns Ann used to work for An then branched off and created his own.
Would think if you ripping off the recipe you'd be more creative with the name right? o_O

Surely there are more restaurants out there! In Straithfield, Uncles is pretty good for Korean food and alcohol.
