The really big factor is the proposed frequency of services at every 4 minutes, although assume this will be in Peak.

Bring it on. I would like to see eventual conversion of other parts of the network, as well as new and better cross-city routes.

@wombat777 - someone's having a lend...4 minutes apart?, and 11 minutes from Chatswood? Take out Crows Nest & North Sydney stops it becomes a very tight schedule.

That overall time is similar to the current 607X bus schedule ( Rouse Hill Town Centre to QVB ) and that has allowances for traffic and traffic lights. The regular schedule is 50 minutes.

Every 4 minutes is reasonable for peak services. I certainly don't expect them to run at that frequency the whole day.

Metro better come soon. There has been a lot of money spent in places like Kellyville and Castle Hill in anticipation of every 4 min train.

For Hills residents it'll be a painful transfer at Chatswood onto the existing suburban trains for the first few years.

Still beats weeknight traffic home on the M2 though. I don't understand why they removed a whole bunch of bus lanes.

Spoilt! Having to change trains too big an inconvenience? Plenty of people change trains when they change lines or bus to train or light rail to bus or bus to ferry or drive to station.

Worse still many buses stop at Wynyard or Central and you have to walk to Town Hall.

I can ride into town, park in the basement (no fbt), get a refreshing shower and not change modes.
