Here's the current Facebook advert telling people they should travel outside peak to avoid the crowds:

    upload_2019-5-14_9-22-21.png

... the comments are all "okay - sure, we only commute to the city during peak hour for fun anyway - it's not as if our bosses expect us there at a specific time"

I just saw this ad below. The comments!

Something to note though, its an image of a train going west at MacDonaldtown. Catching this service is going to help people going home to the north shore....

This is what TripView shows for Sunday.

I can’t bring up the Monday peak yet but expecting this to be every 5 minutes for the first few months, then increasing in frequency to every 4 minutes.

Apparently it's a staffing issue. They are unable to train enough drivers for the driverless carriages so it will take a little more time to get to full capacity.

Joke noted, however I think the logic for the slower schedule to start with is to do with training commuters at Chatswood.

It'll be a great way to get to Chatswood to see below Vivid too. The place is gridlock when it's running.

Just took the metro from Cherrybrook to Rouse Hill (15 mins) and back to Cherrybrook, then from Cherrybrook to Macquarie Center (7 mins). It’s a game changer!

Now I'll need to work out what to do in Cherrybrook. Are the beers still in your fridge?

Bit unfortunate a train has already had to be taken out of service on opening day.
Sounds like a bit of a clusterf#*k going off customers comments on twitter.

    Other issues:
    • In-train LED displays need to indicate next station ( the signs over doors aren’t easy to read from some angles )
    • Signage in the stations need to be illuminated ( so they can be seen through tinted windows of the trains )
    • They need announcements as the train approaches each station ( all the stations look the same, particularly in the tunnels )
Some basic design issues that should be fixed.

Otherwise happy to finally have the service. My first commute in the morning.

First train from Cherrybrook. They actually let us onboard 10 minutes before the official opening time.

Announcements and next stations signs were working fine on the first train we took but didn’t work on the way back from Macquarie park.

We also noticed the main information screen outside Cherrybrook station had a massive visible crack even before they let people into the station.

A bit glitchy for $10billions and 3 months of continuous testing but nonetheless leaps and bounds ahead of rest of Sydney network.
