    @Simon Hampel - it probably would, it'd also be shorter and more direct.

    With the Metro now opening this month we’ll see developers start to move forward with their sites in close proximity to the Metro.

    We are also seeing Landcom signage with “Sydney Metro Norwest Places” moniker going up on fencing at vacant land near the stations.

    Still very much a mixed bag until later stage opens.
    Most people will be worse off with the first stage.

    Bikes and surfboards: Travelling with bikes and surfboards

    You can take your bicycle or surfboard on metro services for free at any time. You can use the multi-purpose areas in the first and last carriages for space to stand with your bike or board.

    @wombat777 - Do the services which aren't listed get affected? Eg. X10, 610, 627?

    Time to move then is it? Public transport and the apartments that follow tends to attract the dregs of society.

    I've seen a lot of advertising from Sydney trains talking about strategies for avoiding congestion on trains on social media of late.

    What nobody mentions is that Artarmon can be just as busy as Chatswood at peak times - there's only one way on and off the platform (other than the small lift), and we have a lot of people driving from out of area parking in nearby streets to board the train at Artarmon.

    If all the trains are full leaving Chatswood - that's going to cause huge issues on the platforms in Artarmon (and St Leonards) too.

    Sounds like they may need to drastically ramp up the number of city bound services on the North Shore line.

    It's like the northern line trains tend to get packed out by hordes of people getting on at Rhodes now there's so many apartments there.... Tough luck for anybody trying to get on at Concord West and North Strathfield. And these stations don't get that many trains.
