Seeing few different meet ups happening in Sydney city (good sign that our city is growing:))

as per question what location suits you most?

i personally seen largest crowd in western Sydney meet up that @skater organized.

    your view?

I work from home near Parra. I'm up for anywhere with decent car parking which rules out cbd city or parra for me

Albion hotel Parramatta is ok, walkable to the station and has parking onsite and nearby...

Whilst Parramatta is convenient for me, I'd also attend something Northside if a location with good parking can be identified. Ideally not too far from M2 / Pacific Highway.

Further north and Hornsby RSL might be good.

Epping Hotel is perfect for me... parking next to Coles and 1 minute walk to trains!

Would also suit me as it is close to work.

Locations near the Pacific Highway are easier to get to for anyone on the Northern Beaches.

Since there's already a regular Western Sydney meetup happening, which is near Parramatta, and Sim often does something at Chatswood, so close to the city, perhaps there's room for something regular out Sutherland Shire way.

You don't want to have too many of them happening on top of each other and you want to make sure that the dates are spaced apart, so they don't clash with each other should people wish to attend more than one.

So....this weekend, there's one at Baulkam Hills, next month there's one at Wenty. They are spaced perfectly so that nobody jumps on each others toes, you can choose to go to one, or both. AND as they are on different nights, (one's on Wednesday, the other on Saturday), it means that people that find it hard to attend on one night might be able to attend on another.

Once things settle down a bit around here and I'm not working 18+ hour days, I'm going to investigate some venues around the inner city area with a view to both social gatherings and also more formal networking or educational gatherings. Ease of access (public transport + parking etc) will be a prime consideration for this area.

That doesn't need to get in the way of any social gatherings people want to organise for themselves - so please don't let me stop you doing that!

    @skater

i am going to Sutherland shire one this weekend. BH is bit far for me...

Plus i am attending your ever popular meet up at wenty!

just trying to get an idea of whats convenient to PC Sydney members..

We are thinking to do "meet and greet" style seminar covering range of topics from various ex SS/new PC posters. more or less education seminar..

PJ gallaghers in drummoyne allows to use their conference room free of charge on sat and sun afternoons (provided people order some food and drinks). We have used it a couple of times.

Of course, the 3-4 hours of travel is worth couple of hours surrounded by awesome people.

Cheeky blighter!:p The hours of travel, not the awesome people part. :D

FWIW.....years ago there was a monthly meeting in Glebe, and we went nearly every Month, travelling from Mt Druitt. Pretty sure that's further than Marrickvile to Wenty.
