I'm looking to buy my first IP, but at max $550,000, so I feel I'm a bit limited in my buying options here in Sydney.
Are there any BAs in Sydney with a team of people interstate to do the ground work, or am I best off engaging with a BA that's dedicated to their area?

On that note, I'm currently accepting first dates from suitable interstate BAs that might be able to help me.

    Cheers,
    Boy.

Use a BA that's local to the area you intend to purchase in. I've had clients use some of the larger BAs with multiple offices across the country, but from my observations and experiences, I'd use a smaller, local BA every time.

A $550k budget still goes a long way in a wide range of locations. If you let us know where you're thinking, you'll likely get lots of great recommendations for BAs servicing that area.

Of course the first challenge is figuring out where you want to purchase...

A BA has to have a licence in the state they work. Best to get a local than an interstater.

    @ShireBoy
Definitely have a local buyer's agent look for your IP. We have had a number of Sydney based clients purchase interstate working with local on the ground BAs

I've engaged with a BA, who's currently searching in SA and VIC for me. Exciting times ahead. I'll update when I start signing contracts :)

That's great @ShireBoy and I hope they find something excellent for you. Did you check that they were licensed appropriately in both states? Just checking as there are some BAs out there who aren't suitably qualified and you cannot have an unlicensed agent with a written agreement.

Hopefully someone may see this post again, I'm also searching for buyers agent to help with purchasing my first investment property.

Anyone have any recommendation for Buyers Agent for areas within 20km from Sydney CBD? I'm interested in areas around Campsie and further, Lakemba, Belmore, Wiley Park. Anyone who specialised in these?

    Cheers

Our Buyers Agency regularly buys in these areas. (moreso at present since the inner west, where we have specialised for years, has become unaffordable to some of our clients and they are looking at the next suburbs out).

Hi Alan, may I ask if your Agency is specialised in some particular areas or flexible in researching in multiple areas?

May you pm me so then we can discuss more what's your agency doing?

    Cheers

(Note: I couldn't open the link to your agency's website)
