    It took me 1.5 hours each way from Southport to Central, in the car or on the train.
    Would rather live near the coast for that commute, but I wouldn't do it again.

    I'm genuinely perplexed, how does the commute necessary make this house a bargain? I don't pretend to know the area.

    I'm turned off by the rooms below ground level at the front. How would you know if the drainage is any good.

    I think you misunderstood him, he was saying the commute isn't great for the general area, nothing specific to the house I think.

    I think Algester is a hidden gem ... Great location, family Oriented, close to Garden City, schools have a genuinely good reputation with some people even renting in the area just to send their children to it, right amongst the areas extremely popular to the Chinese etc etc
