    - North East link providing faster transit from northeast suburbs to CBD.

    - Sunshine superhub linking train to airport and fast trains to Geelong/Ballarat

    - Metro tunnel connecting western suburb train lines to southern lines and creating a train station at the Hospital/UniMelb super complex.

This seems like projects that will significantly improve life quality for the north-west and the inner west.

Inner west looks like it will be a super convenient spot to live for those that work in healthcare or those that travel regionally, interstate, or internationally for work (once pre-COVID normality returns). The salary of these people is generally quite above the median and well above the inner west norms at the moment.

What suburbs do you see having the biggest benefit from these projects and the most ideal to invest?
Are there drawbacks from these projects?

When a transport link goes over, under or next to an existing property.....

New stations in north melb, parkville will undoubtedly be a boost for those areas. Especially if it brings with it new shops/restaurants which the areas where the stations are located lack.

Sunshine/north melb already serves as a regional hub but people still prefer to go to southern cross to get a seat. Both stations have already been upgraded. So i cant see much benefit perhaps even more of a detriment as the sunbury line will no longer stop at southern cross/docklands where most corporates are relocating to or flagstaff for that matter.

Inner west has always been very convenient so not sure if these projects will help in any way. Perhaps if it can turn into some form of a tourist hub then maybe. I can probably see footscray having the better chance than sunshine due to there being atleast some backpacker type nightlife there and hipster attraction with plenty of high density.

But generally speaking the thing that has always held back the west is the perceived lack of good schooling. Which is self perpetuating as families move their kids to schools in other areas as is the case with many of the people I have grown up with in the inner west. Those with the means to (couple with stable average white collar jobs) have moved for Yarraville, maribyrnong, Essendon, pascoe vale, eastside. Although we all do still miss the inner west as the convenience you get at that price point for landed properties is second to none!
