    Hi everyone

I am subdividing in Wembley. Battleaxe block. Initial sign-offs are done, we are now sorting out services.

We need to prepare the driveway to the back block.

Can anyone tell me what driveway material is most economical to use?

Will you be selling off the block or just need the minimum to meet clearances and want to do it properly after you build in the rear?

If you are looking to construct in the rear and don't want a good driveway destroyed then you could ask council to bond the works where you provide a cash bond to the council and they sign off on the subdivision clearance and you put in a crushed limestone or roadbase track to the rear until contruction is finished then pave or concrete and get your bond back

If you aren't looking to construct and are selling the rear block you might be able to do the same bond but get the buyer to take it over

If council won't accept a bond then brushed concrete might be cheaper than paving
