    Dear all,

Non-mortgage broker here, but does anyone know where I can find a list of sub-aggregators, Not Aggregators, just the sub ones.
    Preferably in Melbourne.
    Google is not very helpful.

    Thank you.

Or even if someone can simply list a dozen or so that would be very helpful :)

I doubt you'll find what you want quite so neatly listed, but a quick look on the MFAA website has a list of their member aggregator and franchise groups:

MFAA Aggregators & Franchise Groups | MFAA

It doesn't tell you which are primary and which are sub aggregators. You'll likely have to do that legwork yourself (try trolling through their websites).

A quick look didn't reveal anything for the other main industry body, the FBAA. It's also possible you might find similar resources via the ASIC website by doing some interesting searches on different credit licenses.

I'm quite curious about why you want such a list, especially if you're not a broker? I don't think I've ever had a client ask anything about my aggregator, most wouldn't have a clue what an aggregator is, let alone a sub-aggreagator.

Well I'm not a business member and don't want to be caught out on what I am saying. So I shall just leave it as it is for my business not personal use that I want the list.

Thanks for the MFAA list, I had found that but was hoping the legwork I wouldn't need to do haha.

You have the Aggregator. The sub aggregator is the one that calls the aggregator Master?

I created my own list by forcing google to look for pages that had the words 'sub aggregator' together on it.
Sub aggregators are just a level below aggregators, but a level above brokers. Although many seemed to have been bought out in recent years.

Typically, most aggs dont want 5000 brokers on the their books

they prefer to have smaller numebrs that will take newish people on, train them, support them etc. Thats where sub aggs have a place

For most newey brokers, direct aggregator agreements arent an option unless properly mentored and edified by another existing broker in the agg group.

That might be what it looks like from the outside, but from where I sit, a sub-aggreagator is a group within a group, that usually has a speciality or niche to service a particular broker segment. The broker-aggregator relationship isn't something that I'd consider any sort of hierarchy.

Thanks Jazz-I think some of them are aggregators though no?

The head company I work for, works & networks within the mortgage industry, I am just doing some legwork for them.
