Well I have one forwarded yesterday for a new commercial building in an area that still has some residential residences:

"...and not to mention the number of unsightly dumpster vehicles with their chain smoking drivers who would bringing the tone of the suburb."

Some people have no idea how to present a logical objection.

    I got 2 for a recent one.

First one was the houses are a higher density so will be low cost housing and will be a slum. Second one was there is no social housing so it promotes social inequity.

I think they cancel each other out.

We should all band together and fund litigation for the hold up costs, time value of money etc.
Until these pricks actually stand to lose money there is nothing stoping people from being obstructionry. If the scheme says it should be then it should be full Stop. Personal opinions should be checked at the door.

A neighbour complained in our initial consultation that the proposed two story house would be able to see across the reserve into her bedroom window about 40 metres away. We informed her that this wasn't an issue as the regulations only require consideration for when it's 15 metres away.

The formal objection came through that we'd be able to see over the roof of her house, down into the back yard where her grandchildren like to play naked in the pool. Fairly tricky for the geometry involved, but thanks anyway for suggesting we're pedophiles.

The irony is there's a three storey townhouse backing onto her back yard, the living room window looks directly down onto her pool with a clear and immediate line of site. Thank god though that they can't see into her bedroom. Nobody wants that image.
