don't know where to put this. I am thinking of building a 4 br 2 br house and letting it out to students. The council said I would have to have wheelchair access but apart from that have no specific requirements and said it all comes under state (Vic) regs. I can't find anything to do with this. I thought from memory there was no special requirements if there were under a certain no. of students . Can anyone give me some guidance here?

I had a student house a few years ago. First thing to realise is that you are running a service business. Organising cleaning, internet, preparing rooms, advertising. It is not at all like having an IP. Calls at 9 at night, on the way from the airport, where can they pick up a key.

Sometimes I could delegate most things to long term residents, but often a hands on approach was required.
