Strata doubles in 1 year old apt

    Garage Doors!! I walk the pooch past a high rise with a garage door every morning. That door must open and close a thousand times a day......the sound of it has slowly been getting worse everytime.

    Must suck living just above it on the first floor....

    Always buy a long way from the garage door ;)

    But the reality is they need regular and frequent maintenance especially if they are roller doors.

    At one of my new apartments
    The developer appoints the interim strata manager, they have seen fit to provide a building manager (that we can never find)
    This must be costing $50,000+ pa
    I can tell you now that the current strata fees wont come close to covering the outgoings currently, and will be substantially higher (after the developer sells his remaining units)
