VIC Still a good idea to invest in land in Melbourne?

    Just came across this site a month ago and have been doing a lot of research since then. There are certainly some great ideas and people here.

    I am newbie in investing and so far have nothing on my portfolio. I am considering getting an IP in regional VIC or buying a land (in North or West of Melbourne) with the purpose of selling it for profit after some time, considering prices still rise.

    Just wanted an opinion of how the general feel is. Is it still worth investing in new land in Melbourne now? I know I have started very late but just wanted to ask if there is another may be 6/7 months of growth left.

    Buying land in the hope of a rising market for the next 6-7 months is pure speculation IMO, not investing.
    It does not earn an income if you get stuck holding it. Personally, I would not do it.
