Saw it..it was good. I even rewatched the tv series the week prior. I could still remember the tv show...

Anyways the film version was much better. Kind of wish I didn't watch the tv show as you would have known how those little kids will turn out in their adult life... for some odd reasons, I remeber the true face of the pennywise was a big spider??!

I hope the part II will be as good as this.

Kind of hard to talk about the film without giving any spoiler.

Good movie. Cinema full of loud, annoying teenagers talking through it ruined the experience. I was reminded why I don't typically go to movies on the opening weekend. /grumpy old man

I didn't realise that IT could be so scary. I know that it's daunting at first but scary?

It was like revisiting my childhood fear. The original IT gave me nightmares.

There was equal laughters and screams in the cinemas yesterday.

'IT' was the first Stephen King book that I read that I didn't actually enjoy.
Enjoyed all his previous books, as well as those churned out under his other name back then.

If it gets too much for you, you could always try turning the movie off and back on?

Never knew there was a TV series! Vaguely remember the original movie. Not sure if I'm keen on the new one. Not into scary movies!

In the novel, It is an eternal entity that is almost as old as time itself.

After arriving on Earth, It would sleep for approximately 27 to 30 years at a time, then awaken

Apparently there’s been an outbreak of clowns turning up at cinemas for the screening

It was a ****** movie, "so scary I almost **** myself" kind of ******.

We loved it. I love the friendship in the losers club and the puppy love. :) And that bathroom scene with Bevy, reminded me of the corridor scene in The Shinning.

The balloon was purposely put at headlight level so they'd see it when entering their driveway, so yes it's a hazard warning :)

I did read somewhere that Stephen King was snorting so much coke and so drunk during the time he wrote this one that he can't remember actually writing it. If that was different to his other books that might explain it.

I read the same article in The Age over the weekend. Apparently there was a long period where he was in that state, which produced a lot of his best work.

Saw the original back in the 90's ... the thought of which still scares me ... and I have a rational hatred of painted clowns. No way will I be going to the updated version
