Some interesting stats from a Business Insider Article"

Here are the most important statistics to consider:

    1. 88% of the rich devote 30 minutes or more each day to self-education or self-improvement.

    2. 76% of the rich aerobically exercise for 15 minutes or more, every day.

    3. 86% of the rich who liked what they did for work made $3.4 million in 32 years

    4. 7% who loved what they did made $7.4 million in 12 years.

    5. 92% of rich say good luck had nothing at all to do with their wealth. They just never gave up.

    6. 88% of millionaires believe relationships are critical to financial success.

    7. 94% of wealthy individuals read current events every day.

    8. 88% of the rich people say that saving money was incredibly important to their success.

    9. 93% of the self-made millionaires attributed their wealth to their mentors' help.

    10. 86% of wealthy, successful people associate with other success-minded people.

    11. 79% of the rich read educational, career-related material.

I agree with all points except for #5. While I don't believe having 'luck' (especially for us in Australia) is a huge factor for wealth creation, I do accept that the harder/smarter you plan and work for your goals, the luckier you seem to get. And then there are times when you are just plain ol lucky. Anyway was an interesting read. Seems pretty spot on to me.

    Conversely:
    1. 12% devote no time to self-improvement
    2. 24% do no regular exercise
    3. 86% who liked what they did only made $106k/yr
    4. I agree that I'd love what I did if it made $7.4M in 12 yrs
    5. The other 8% fluked it
    6. 88% of millionaires marry for money
    7. The other 6% skip the sports pages too
    8. This 88% agree with the other 86% in point 3
    9. 7% are truly self-made
    10. 14% still hang out with the plebs
    11. How does this differ from self-improvement (but less of them)?
